The Central Board of Secondary Education has plans to bring up an elective course based on Human Rights and Gender studies in all its schools from the upcoming academic year.
The move was taken after a week of the incident on Paramedical student in Delhi had occurred, which left the nation jolted with demands of rigorous training and sensitization among men and women. The course shall be made available in all CBSE affiliated schools, including the Kendriya Vidhalayas, in the country as well as abroad. The CBSE has also put up compulsory counselling services in all the schools affiliated to it.
