JEE Main 2019: Question paper pattern, previous years cut-off and other important details

National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the second attempt of JEE Main entrance exam from April 6 to 20, 2019. The Joint Engineering Entrance Exam (Main) 2019 registration started on February 8 and will be closed on March 8, 2019.

The candidates can visit the official website of the exam - - to submit their online application form for the exam. The result of JEE Main January 2019 examination has already been released by the NTA.

As per the official notification, JEE Main 2019 admit cards for April examination will be released on March 20, 2019.

The admission to all undergraduate engineering and B.Arch/B. Planning courses in the country would be done on the basis of JEE Main 2019 rank.

Eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE (Advanced) -2019

The candidate who wants appear for the JEE (Advanced) -2019 must have passed in final examination of Class 12th or equivalent qualifying examination. Students who are appearing in these examinations in 2019 can also appear in JEE (Advanced)- 2019 provisionally.

JEE Main 2019 Exam Pattern

JEE Main 2019 exam paper will consist of two papers. Paper 1 exam is conducted for admission to engineering (B.Tech/B.E.) courses and the paper 2 exam will be held for admission to B.Arch/ B. Planning courses.

The JEE Main 2019 Paper 1 will comprise of objective type questions based on Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics. Each subject will have equal weightage and the total paper will be of 360 marks.

JEE Main Paper 2 will be based on Mathematics, Aptitude and Drawing skills. Paper 2 will of a total of 390 marks.

Both the papers, Paper 1 and Paper 2, will be of 3 hours duration. As per NTA notification, Paper I and II will be conducted in two shifts per day.

JEE Main previous years cut-offs

The final cut-off list of JEE Main 2019 entrance examination will be announced on April 30, 2019. NTA will publish JEE Main Final Cut off category-wise. The candidates would be able to check their ranking from the official website of the NTA JEE Main exam.
